FAQ

The Kilt Standard

No—Kilt Beard Co. is a beard care brand. The name is heritage-inspired; the products are grooming essentials.

It means we formulate specifically for beard hair and the skin under it—comfort, conditioning, and control without harshness or buildup.

Most customers use it regularly, but frequency depends on your climate, skin, and lifestyle. If you get dry, rotate wash days and use oil daily.

Butter is for softness and conditioning (often best at night). Balm adds more daytime control while still conditioning.

We focus on ingredient-conscious formulas and transparency. The best way to evaluate is the ingredient list on each product page.

Product pages will specify scent components and notes. If you’re sensitive, patch test first and consider low-scent options.

Dryness is a common cause of itch/flakes. Consistent use of beard wash + beard oil helps many customers, but everyone’s skin is different.

Start with minimal scent, patch test, and introduce one product at a time. If irritation occurs, discontinue and reach out.
